Abstract

The Blessed Virgin Mary, whose role in the Christian faith is placed on high esteem is deemed essential in one’s profession of faith. Religious Education integrates the Blessed Virgin Mary as a content of its curriculum and instruction. To provide sound integration of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Religious Education, this study aims to investigate the students' perception of the UST-EHS to Mary as Theotokos and the factors that affect it through grounding the study in Albert Bandura's Social Cognitive Theory's observational learning. The researchers will investigate how Religious Education serve as an effective factor in forming their perception of the Motherhood of Mary. This research will employ a qualitative survey design through focus group discussion with students of the UST-EHS where findings of this study will lead to the development of a specialized supplementary lessons of the Christian Living Education of the UST-EHS per year level.
