Abstract

The Christian Faith Education (CFEd) program of the University of Saint Louis (USL), Tuguegarao City, assumes responsibility on the spiritual growth and moral development of the students. Thus, from pre-school to tertiary education, a CFEd subject is being given to every pupil and student. Since these CFEd subjects are not intended to be academic subjects in an academic institution, it becomes imperative to assess their effects especially on the graduating college students. An open-ended question was given to randomly selected students of CFED 1081 from all departments for the School Year 2023-2024, and answers were treated thematically. All answers, regardless of its frequency of occurrence, were included and interpreted. Varied effects, ranging from the physical to the spiritual, were revealed from this exploration, notwithstanding the issues of the informants about enrolling the subjects. Results were further studied for its implications about the delivery of the CFEd subjects, so that it remains responsive to the spiritual and moral development needs of the students, who are aimed to be empowered to engage critically with their faith.
