Abstract

The integration of values and the cultivation of awareness surrounding these values within institutional frameworks are pivotal in fostering employee dedication, particularly within the realm of education. Within schools under the umbrella of the Order of Augustinian Recollects (OAR), the foundational tenets of veritas (contemplation), unitas (community), and caritas (apostolic love) are deeply entrenched, reflecting the enduring ethos established by the institution’s founder. While religious emphasis may restrict global outreach and often overlook cultural variations in fostering employee dedication through values, education serves as a means to promote these values. Educational institutions bear a profound responsibility to facilitate employees’ recognition of the central role these values play in their professional and personal lives. Positioning itself as a preeminent center for Gospel-centered education and community engagement, the institution aspires to mold individuals into conscientious leaders through holistic development infused with Gospel values. The institution’s core values, encapsulated in the acronym INSPIRE, resonate with the timeless principles of the Augustinian Family (Veritas, Unitas, and Caritas). This descriptive-correlational study, employing surveys and custom-made instruments, seeks to explore potential correlations between levels of awareness, demographic factors among employees, and the actualization of typical Augustinian values within the teaching profession. The findings from this study will shed light on the levels of value awareness and extent of Augustinian value actualization within the teaching profession.
