Hitik: International Journal of Catechists and Religious Educators provides immediate and unrestricted open access to all its published content on the principle that free access to scholarly research supports a greater global exchange of knowledge, promotes academic collaboration, and increases the visibility and impact of scholarly works.

Readers may freely read, download, distribute, print, search, cite, and link to the full texts of articles published in the journal without prior permission from the publisher or author, provided that proper attribution is given.

All articles published in the journal are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

Copyright Retention

Authors retain copyright over their published works while granting the publisher the exclusive right of first publication. Authors also grant the journal the right to identify itself as the original publisher of the work.

Authors retain the following rights:

  • To share and distribute the published article in accordance with the terms of the CC BY-NC 4.0 license;
  • To upload the published article in institutional repositories, personal websites, academic social networking sites, and research databases with proper citation to the journal version of record;
  • To retain patent, trademark, and other intellectual property rights associated with the article and underlying research data;
  • To receive proper attribution and scholarly credit for the published work.

Archiving and Preservation

The journal is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of scholarly content through digital archiving, indexing services, and institutional repository systems to ensure continuous access to published research.

Author Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are permitted to deposit and share the published version of their article immediately after publication without embargo, provided that complete bibliographic information and a link to the journal website are included.

Important Note: The journal does not charge readers subscription fees for accessing published articles. However, Article Processing Charges (APCs) may apply to accepted manuscripts to support editorial operations, publishing infrastructure, indexing, and digital preservation services.
